RN Programs in Colorado

There are many RN programs in Colorado that students can choose to take. Nursing programs can last between two and four years based on their complexity, but they all lead to jobs within the field of nursing. Registered nurses are often responsible for patient care, documentation, organization, and assisting physicians in general.

The amount of money a person can earn in registered nursing is based on many different factors. For instance, some parts of the country have higher standards of living and thus offer more money for the RNs in the area. A nurse may also earn more money if he or she has more experience in the industry than someone else.

Becoming an RN by Examination in Colorado

In order to become an RN by examination in Colorado, an individual must submit:

  • A completed application
  • The application processing fee
  • Documentation of any name change if the individual has changed his or her name
  • A completed Affidavit of Eligibility
  • Proof that he or she graduated from one of the following:
    • A traditional nursing program
    • A non-traditional program (He or she must also have completed the Student Permit application process)
    • A foreign nursing program (He or she must also submit the CES credentials review "Professional Report" from the CGFNS
      Then he or she must register for the NCLEX with Pearson VUE

Becoming an RN by Endorsement in Colorado

In order to become an RN by endorsement in Colorado, an individual must submit:

  • A completed application
  • The application processing fee
  • Documentation of any name change if the individual has changed his or her name
  • Verification of being licensed in another US state

Individuals must also create an online Health Professions Profile regardless of whether they are becoming an RN through examination or endorsement.

Reinstating an RN License

If an individual wants to reinstate his or her RN license, he or she must submit:

  • A completed application
  • The application processing fee
  • Documentation of any name change if the individual has changed his or her name
  • A completed Affidavit of Eligibility

He or she must also create an online Health Professions Profile regardless of whether they are becoming an RN through examination or endorsement.
