Becoming Licensed by Endorsement in Mississippi

In order to become licensed by endorsement in Mississippi, one must hold a valid license in another state or jurisdiction. This state is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact. Nurses in compact states must register in the primary state of residence, but can obtain multi-state privilege without additional licensure in other compact states. Those who reside in Mississippi or a non-compact state can become licensed by endorsement in Mississippi.

Renewing an RN License

Licenses are valid for a 2 year period, and expire on December 31 of even numbered years.
