Wisconsin CNA Classes

Wisconsin CNA Training

Presently, many jobs that used to be accessible with a college education now require years of experience and advanced degrees in order to get hired. This has created a very uncertain job market for those who have just graduated college.

Luckily, some of the fastest growing careers in the United States are accessible with far less education. Anyone who likes the idea of working closely with doctors and nurses on a daily basis should consider Wisconsin CNA classes.

Wisconsin CNA training courses are designed to help people become certified nursing assistants. In a hospital, nursing home, or mental health facility, CNAs are responsible for recording patient medical histories, taking vital signs, administering medication, and educating individuals about better health practices. Anyone who likes working with different people every day, and enjoys learning about the latest medical technology may find a job as a CNA to be extremely satisfying.

In Wisconsin, there are a few types of individuals who do not need to complete CNA training in order to take the state CNA evaluation and work as a nurse assistant. Individuals do not need to complete CNA training if they are currently enrolled in nursing school and have completed the courses that satisfy all CNA requirements including:

  • The aging process
  • Basic nursing skills
  • Basic restorative skills
  • Death and dying
  • Care of cognitively impaired
  • Communication skills
  • Infection control
  • Personal care skills
  • Safety and emergency procedures
  • Residents' rights
  • Completing a minimum of 32 hours of hands-on clinical experience providing assisted daily live cares to residents

Individuals who have graduated from nursing school and have not yet taken the NCLEX exam may take the CNA exam as long as they have completed the courses that satisfy all CNA requirements including:

  • The aging process
  • Basic nursing skills
  • Basic restorative skills
  • Death and dying
  • Care of cognitively impaired
  • Communication skills
  • Infection control
  • Personal care skills
  • Safety and emergency procedures
  • Residents' rights
  • Completing a minimum of 32 hours of hands-on clinical experience providing assisted daily live cares to residents
