A person can become a cardiovascular technician in Arizona by one of three pathways. They can either obtain their certificate, their associate degree or their bachelor degree. After the education has been complete in any of these programs, the student can pursue credentials by taking an exam through the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers or the Cardiovascular Credentialing Inc. Once a person has passed the exam, they may also choose a specialty in this field by completing an additional exam in adult, fetal and pediatric echocardiography. This may provide a higher salary in a more specialized area.

A person can become a cardiovascular technician in Arizona by obtaining their certificate at a technical college or community college such as Herzing University or University of Phoenix, which are both available online. There are specific clinic hours that must be completed in order to fulfill the requirements for this certification. Many employers will hire a candidate with a technical certificate in cardiovascular technician as well as experience in a related area.

Earning an associate or bachelor degree to become a cardiovascular technician in Arizona may take a bit longer than a certificate program, but the chances of securing a job are better.
